In short
This website uses no cookies, no tracking and no analytics scripts, and loads nothing from third-party servers. Fonts and libraries are served from our own server. The point cloud on the home page is generated in your browser; no data is sent to us for it.
Server log files
When you open the website, our web server processes technically necessary data: IP address, date and time, requested address, amount of data transferred, status code, the previously visited page (referrer) and the browser identifier (user agent). This serves to deliver the page, to keep operation secure and to find errors.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the secure and stable operation of the website. The logs are rotated weekly and deleted after five weeks at the latest.
Hosting
The website runs on a server of Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany, in a data centre in Germany. Hetzner processes the data on our behalf as a processor pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.
Contact by email
If you write to us, we process your address and the content of your message to answer your request. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where a contract or its preparation is concerned, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our mailboxes are hosted by Heinlein Hosting GmbH (mailbox.org), Berlin, as processor. Mail to addresses at souverain-systems.de currently passes through the forwarding service Cloudflare Email Routing of Cloudflare, Inc., USA, first; the transfer relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Mail to hallo@sitebits.de goes directly to mailbox.org. We delete messages when they are no longer needed, unless statutory retention obligations (for business letters, for example) apply.

Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20). You may object to processing based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21). A message to the address above is enough.
You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Brandenburg Commissioner for Data Protection and Access to Information (LDA Brandenburg), Stahnsdorfer Damm 77, 14532 Kleinmachnow, Germany.
There is no automated decision-making or profiling.
